Your inner mentor is the you who has gone on before you and achieved everything you are working on. They can see the path clearly and know you very well. Will you take some time to seek advice from your inner mentor today? They are the one who has all the wisdom you are looking for. Here's how to access your inner mentor:
Close your eyes. Imagine where they live. Approach their residence and notice what it looks like. Knock on the door and see them open it and welcome you in warmly. Take a look at your mentor. What do they look like? What do you notice about their features, the way they're dressed, the way they hold themselves, their appearance? Your inner mentor tells you to feel free to wander through their home. They say, "Open any cupboards or closets you want, touch anything you want, take a good look around. I'll be here when you're finished." You take your time meandering through their home.
When you are ready, you sit down with your mentor. They welcome you to ask any questions you want. What questions do you have for your mentor? Ask away. Listen carefully to their answers. You might ask: "How did you get to this place in your life?" "What's the most important thing I need to know?" "What is the most important habit you focused on creating?" "What's my next step?"
When you have asked all the questions you want, you are ready to leave. Your inner mentor tells you that you can come back any time for a visit. They bid you well and tell you they are rooting for you and they have your back. You are grateful and you express this to them.
Now, take some time to write about your experience. Give yourself at least 15 minutes to capture this experience on paper so that you can refer back to the wisdom your inner mentor shared with you. Whenever you feel discouraged or stuck, you can refer back to this experience. Remember: you can visit your inner mentor anytime.
Until next time,
